yeah so, no? this statement contradicts itself in the most absurd way, it’s hard to read. I’m not going to answer in the most condescending way, as it’s rude and quite frankly just shows yourself up.

this person was asking for equality. they weren’t saying that homophobia/sexism/racism doesn’t exist, so don’t bring that up into your argument, it is invalid. they were simply saying they wanted equality between all genders, races, sexualities etc. equality when two or more parties have absolute identical status/rights/opportunities regardless of gender, race or sexual orientation. this breaks down the barriers between these identifiers, and instead focuses on a whole bunch of equal humans with nothing to distinguish them from each other.

instead of comparing this to a race, let’s compare it to something a bit more relevant and understandable - real life. in real life, we have a whole variety of people. now in a perfect world, everyone would have rights and there would be no discrimination. so why are we not working towards that perfect world, why are we just bitching about it online?

here’s the kicker that are going to shock a lot of you: cis, heterosexual anglo-saxon men HAVE RIGHTS TOO. what?! I know, it’s a shocker, but they do. they are people, but they are hated for what they are. so what makes us as women, homosexual, non-caucasian better than them?we’re judging them on something they have absolute no control over.

it’s becoming an issue now, that companies in fear of being outed on discrimination, must employ people from a diverse background, gender, disabilities you name it. now I’m not saying this is a bad thing, but this is a bad thing. what we need to strive for is not giving things on a platter to these people who are discriminated against, as surely that is just patronising and asking these people in power for help as we are too weak to achieve it ourselves. instead, strive for the things you need. yes, it’s not fair but life is not fair and moaning about it will not change it.

another problem now is wanting superiority over equality. hating on those in power, (white males) makes you no better than them, and no further forward in beating discrimination because you are only fuelling it. strive to be the best you can be, not better than a man or anyone else.

it’s stated we NEED women’s rights. true. we also NEED men’s rights, children’s rights, asexuals’ rights, mexican’s rights, american’s rights, britons’ rights, homosexuals’ rights, transgender’ rights.

we need human rights. we need equality. not women’s equality, equality and unity between all.
